➀  ALWAYS TEST FIT THE SPOILER ON THE VEHICLE BEFORE PREPPING OR PAINTING. PARTS THAT ARE PREPPED OR PAINTED CANNOT BE RETURNED FOR CREDIT OR EXCHANGE. OPEN DECKLID AND COVER THE CARPET WITH A DROP CLOTH SO THE HOT METAL SHAVINGS WILL NOT BURN INTO THE CARPET. PARTIALLY CLOSE THE DECKLID. ALSO REMOVE ANY TRIM PANELS WITH A PANEL PULLER, OR SCREW DRIVER.

➁  PLACE THE T-STRIPS INTO MOUNTING HOLES AND THE BRAKE LIGHT WIRE HOLE. (NOTE: ONLY DRILL A BRAKE LIGHT WIRE HOLE IF YOUR SPOILER IS EQUIPPED WITH A LED LIGHT.) USE A VERY SMALL PIECE OF 1/2” MASKING TAPE TO HOLD THEM IN PLACE.

➂  PLACE SPOILER ON DECKLID AND ALIGN TO PROPER POSITION. CHECK FOR PROPER ALIGNMENT USING A TAPE MEASURE SIDE TO SIDE & FRONT TO BACK.

➃  AFTER PROPER ALIGNMENT IS MADE, USING MASKING TAPE, SECURE THE T-STRIPS TO DECKLID WITH 2” MASKING TAPE. CAREFULLY LIFT THE SPOILER STRAIGHT UP OFF OF THE PLASTIC T-STRIPS LEAVING THE T-STRIPS ON DECKLID.

➄  USING A 1/8” DRILL BIT SLIDE IT THROUGH THE SMALL HOLE ON THE T-STRIP STEM. MARK THE PAINTED DECKLID SURFACE TO LOCATE THE CENTER OF THE HOLES TO BE DRILLED. REMOVE THE T STRIPS FROM THE DECK LID AND USING A 5/16” DRILL BIT OR UNIBIT, DRILL THROUGH THE 1/8” HOLES (ALSO IF REQUIRED DRILL AN ACCESS HOLE FROM THE UNDER SIDE OF THE DECKLID USING THE 5/8” HOLESAW.) USING ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER, OR ANY QUALITY RUST PREVENTATIVE MATERIAL, COAT ALL BARE METAL FROM THE HOLES DRILLED. ALLOW TO DRY.

➅  IF YOUR SPOILER IS EQUIPPED WITH A LED BRAKE LIGHT FEED THE BRAKE LIGHT WIRE THRU THE HOLE IN THE DECK LID THAT WAS DRILLED FOR THE BRAKE LIGHT WIRE.
